Obituary of Frank E. "Sonny" Botlinger Jr.
Florence Township: Frank E. "Sonny" Botlinger Jr., age 88 of Florence Township, New Jersey passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Hamilton Continuing Care Center. In addition to his nickname "Sonny", Frank was also affectionately known by some as "Hop". Mr. Botlinger was born in Florence to the late Frank Sr. and Mary Pfieffer Botlinger and resided in Florence lifelong. He was the owner of the Botlinger Farm on Potts Mill Road in Florence Township, farming his entire career. Some of Sonny's favorite times were spent outdoors enjoying nature, especially his trips to New Hampshire and the mountains. He loved all animals. Frank was a member of Holy Assumption Church in Roebling. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Jack Botlinger and Marie Sager and his wife of more than 50 years, Patricia A. Scenczi Botlinger who passed away in 2021. Frank is survived by his children and their spouses, Kim and Terry Guerra, Stanley Botlinger and Kathy Saboski and Barbara and Rick Ziolkowski, his grandchildren, Rachel and Andrew, Zach, TJ and Morgan, great grandchildren, Charlotte and Owen as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Deacon Ronald Schwoebel officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling. Facial coverings are required. Frank's family is grateful for everyone's cooperation.
