Obituary of Peter Chmarenko
Howell Township: Peter Chmarenko age 68 of Howell, New Jersey departed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Mr. Chmarenko was born in São Paulo, Brazil to the late Eugene and Zoya Dovhoniuk Chmarenko. He resided in Howell for most of his life. Peter was a mechanic for Shrewsbury Motors for 36 years and also worked for Heritage Body and Towing. Peter will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his dedicated and awesome work ethic. He always found time in his day to help others with auto repairs and made sure to take good care of their vehicles for them. Mr. Chmarenko was a member of St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Yardville where he volunteered his time and talents when the parish was building the new church. In addition to his parents, his sister, Maria Snyder predeceased him. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Crystal Chmarenko, sister, Helena Baverov, grandchildren, Daniel and Natalie Chmarenko, 2 nephews, 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:00 AM at St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 839 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620 with Very Rev. Petro Levko officiating. Friends may call Monday from 5:30 PM until the time of service at the church. Panahida service 7:00 PM Monday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood.
