

Obituary of Lidia Didok
West Amwell Township: Lidia Donetz Didok, age 74 of West Amwell Township passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Didok was born in Heidenau, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Mychailo and Alexandra Schwetz Donetz. Mrs. Didok resided in Germany, Brazil and Trenton before moving to West Amwell Township in 1969. Lidia was gifted with a discriminating pallet and the ability to cook delectable cuisine, display attention to detail in the kitchen and master all culinary skills and techniques. Lidia shared her talents with her church in the kitchen for parish dinners and functions. Her baking and cooking will be celebrated by all who had the pleasure of sharing. She will be fondly remembered for her exquisite knack for entertaining guests and making everyone feel welcome and loved. Lidia was like a mom to all of her daughter's and her son's friends. Her nurturing personality and warm hugs comforted all of them as though they were her own. Lidia's exceptional abilities were not limited to the kitchen. She had a passion for gardening and was also happy to enjoy a spin on the dance floor with her husband, Leonid. Mrs. Didok was a member of St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Yardville and St. Olga's Sisterhood of the church. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leonid Didok, her children, Nina Didok and Alexander Didok and several nieces, nephews and godchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 AM at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 280 Main Street, South Bound Brook with Rev. George Siwko officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. Social distancing will be in effect.
