Obituary of Robert J. Yurcho

Surfside Beach SC, Robert J. Yurcho, age 78 of Surfside Beach, SC, died Friday in Embrace Hospice House of The Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach. Mr. Yurcho was born in Trenton and was the son of the late George and Ella Nagy Yurcho. Robert was raised in Trenton where he graduated from Trenton Central High School, resided in Roebling for many years and lived in South Carolina the past 11 years. He was a retired Mail Carrier, employed by the U. S. Postal Service in Hamilton Township and served his country during the beginning of the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He also was employed with State of New Jersey Division of Transportation, Highway Department, Asplundh Tree Service, Hooker Chemical Company, Yates Industries and Congoleum Flooring. Bob was a member of Francis W. Robbins American Legion Past #194 Florence, Roebling Volunteer Fire Co. #3, Lennoxville Athletic Club, was an avid dart player and member of the 1977 U. S. Championship four man dart team and was the proud third baseman for the 1952 6-11 All Star Championship Little League team in South Trenton. He is survived by son & daughter-in-law, George & Dennise Yurcho, daughter & son-in-law, Karyn & Pat Dooley, grandson, Nicholas Yurcho, former wife, Gloria Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be Sunday 7-9 pm at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Ave. Roebling. Legion services will be conducted during this time. Private inurnment will take place at Brig. Gen. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Burlington County Animal Alliance, 7 Pioneer Lane, Willingboro, NJ 08046.
