Obituary of Ileana Barna Molnar and Gyula Molnar

Roebling: Ileana Barna Molnar, age 71 and Gyula Molnar, age 81 died Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Ileana was born in Romania and Gyula was born in Hungary and they lived most of their lives in Roebling. Ileana will be affectionately remembered as an amazing mother, sister and friend who always put her family before anything else. Gyula will be fondly remembered as a caring and generous person who put everyone before himself. He served his country with honor in the US Army during Vietnam and was a life member of the Hungarian Hunting Club. Mr. and Mrs. Molnar were well known for their homemade Hungarian kolbasz and European cuisine. They both enjoyed traveling to Hungary and Romania to visit their families. Ileana was predeceased by her parents, Ioan & Maria Zelicskovics Mako, husband, Istvan Barna and brother, Bela Mako. Gyula was predeceased by his parents Lorinc & Rozalia Meszaros Molnar, daughter, Gabriella Molnar and siblings, Caroline "Lina", Lorinc and Laszlo "Laci". They are survived by their children and spouses, Ileana Barna, Eniko Barna-Blum & Bryon Blum, Janos & Cassie Barna, Stefan Barna & Suzy Aroyo and Dawn Achilles & Joe Everard, grandchildren, Brittany, Makayla & Trevor, siblings and their spouses, Stefan & Magda Mako, Maria Kiss, John & Joanie Mako, Julianna & Sam Balog and Liz & Valentine Pipa, many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces & great nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday 7:30 PM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Rev. Laszlo Ujj officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
