Obituary of James Napolitan

Roebling: James J. Napolitan, age 74 of Roebling and Ship Bottom NJ, passed on to the next adventure on Thursday, October 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Napolitan was born in Bristol, PA and was the son of the late James C. and Anna Macko Napolitan. He resided in Roebling lifelong. Mr. Napolitan retired after 21 years of service from General Motors in Ewing, New Jersey and Newport, Delaware and was previously employed by John A. Roebling C.F. & I. for 10 years. He served his country with honor in the Army Reserves during Vietnam. Jim was a man with an avid interest in life who enjoyed hunting, canoeing, sailing, collecting antiques and volunteering in the Roebling and Florence community to strengthen the community and the people who live in it. Mr. Napolitan was a member of Sts. Francis & Clare Parish, Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Post 39, treasurer of the Roebling Historical Society, president of the JAR Seniors all of Roebling, Good Neighbors Seniors of Florence and treasurer of the Delaware Rod & Gun Club in Bordentown. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Grilli Napolitan, siblings & their spouses, Charles & Linda Napolitan, John Napolitan, Thomas & Linda Napolitan, Andrew Napolitan & Diane de Zutter, many nieces, nephews & cousins and his extended Grilli family. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 11:00 AM at Sts. Francis & Clare Parish, Holy Assumption Church, Roebling. Friends may call Friday from 8:30AM until church departure at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. American Legion services will be 9:45 AM. Burial will be held privately.
