Obituary of Evelyn E. Gallagher
Florence Evelyn E. Gallagher, (nee Hatalovsky) age 73 of Florence, passed away into Gods loving and eternal care on Friday, December 8th.
She was born and raised in Roebling and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Barbara Hatalovsky.
Mrs. Gallagher was involved in many activities. She was Holy Assumption School PTA president. She chaired many school events such as the Fashion Show, Hall improvements and initiated and chaired the first carnival. She was the Burlington County Regent for the Trenton Diocesan PTA and Trenton Diocese PTA president.
Mrs. Gallagher also served as St. Clares Catholic Church Altar Rosary Society president, president of the Florence Township School Board, Advisory board member for the Bank of Mid Jersey and was one of the creators of the Community Awareness Center for drug and chemical dependency in Florence.
She is survived by her husband, R. Louis Gallagher, son R. Louis Gallagher II and his wife Karen, of Florence, son Rev. John Patrick Gallagher, cssr, Big Sur, CA, three grandchildren, R. Louis Gallagher III, Laura Colleen Gallagher and Ryan Patrick Gallagher, all of Florence.
She is also survived by sister, Mary Chiarello and husband the late James of Florence, brother Michael Hatalovsky and wife Tillie of Florida, brother John Hatalovsky and wife Frances of Roebling, sister Anna Bodrog and husband Andrew of Roebling, sister Dorothy Patriarca and husband the late Raymond of Florence, sister Helen Kuklis and husband the late Bernie of Reading PA, sister Margaret Conrey and husband Edward of Roebling and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral will Wednesday 9:30 AM from Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors 1115 Hornberger Ave. Roebling. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM at St. Clares Catholic Church, 232 E. Front St. Florence. Officiating will be Rev. John Patrick Gallagher, cssr. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
