Florence: Craig Alan Sklodowski, age 55 of Florence, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Samaritan Center at Voorhees. He was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1968 to Sophie and Thomas Sklodowski and called Florence Township his home for the majority of his life. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, All Saints Catholic Church in Burlington. Craig was a graduate of All Saints Catholic School in Burlington and a 1986 graduate of the Burlington County Vocational Technical School where he was inducted into the National Honor Society. He went on to further his education at Trenton State College to pursue a Degree in Engineering. Craig was bestowed the honor to serve as the Fire Commissioner for the Florence Township Fire Department Station 401. Some of Craig's most enjoyable times were spent playing baseball in his youth, cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies to victory and of course he was never disappointed with his "Catch of the Day" when fishing with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sophie Ciganek, paternal grandparents, Thomas and Helen Sklodowski and his parents, Sophie D. and Thomas A. Sklodowski. Craig is survived by his loving brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Angela Sklodowski, his niece, Sadie Elizabeth Sklodowski, cousins, Randy and Maria Matlack and their family, Glenn Matlack and Craig's extended family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in All Saints Catholic Church, 502 High Street, Burlington, NJ. There is no visitation. Final disposition will be held privately. The family requests memorial contributions are made to The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, 1095 NW 14th Terrace, Miami, Florida 33136 The Sklodowski family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and volunteers from the Samaritan Center at Voorhees for the care given to Craig and the comfort and support to their family.
