Obituary of Helen Marian
Roebling: Helen Marian, age 72 of Roebling, New Jersey went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, July, 15, 2023. She was born in Mount Holly and was the daughter of the late Elias Marian and Elizabeth Cupsie Marian. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Sammy Pennisi and her brothers, George, Elias and Mickey Marian. She was proud to call the Village of Roebling her home for her entire life. Helen retired from the New Jersey Board of Education as an administrative secretary after 41 years of superior and dedicated service. Helen was the epitome of a Christian women who unselfishly volunteered her time and talents to her church teaching Sunday School and supporting church activities. She devoted her life to worshiping and praising the Lord. Some of her most pleasurable times were spent in fellowship with her family and close friends. Helen lived her faith by example, often opening up her home to share a meal, her delightful conversation and laughter and her gracious hospitality. She was a talented cook, frequently preparing her mother's ethnic recipes to share with family and friends. Helen especially appreciated the arts. She was often found dancing and singing her favorite tunes and also sharpening her skills with photography. Helen will be celebrated as the "Fun Loving Aunt" who will be forever missed and never forgotten! She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Barbara Marian, Janet Haines and Cathy Marian, her nieces and their families, Robin, Joann, Janet, Lisa, Kristy and Beth, her nephew, Eli and his family, several cousins and her feline companion, “Molly The Cat” who she unmistakably treated as a person. Visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a Religious Ceremony from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Pastor Arlena Corzine officiating. Final disposition will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Dr, Westampton, NJ 08060 or Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
