Florence Twp., Charles E. Binns, age 67 of Florence, died Wednesday in Samaritan Hospice, Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. Mr. Binns was born in Auburn, NY. He was the son of the late John and Lucille Bloomingdale Binns and resided in Florence Twp. 42 years. He was a retired Manager, employed by National Cash Registers New York, NY with 32 years service. Mr. Binns was a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a 1957 graduate of Leavenworth Central High School, Wolcott, NY. Charles was a member of the Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Post 39, Roebling and former member of the Florence Township Volunteer Fire Company. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time repairing and rebuilding bicycles for all of the neighborhood children. He will be fondly remembered as "Mr. Bicycle Man". Charles enjoyed gardening, water sports and motorcycle riding.
