Florence Twp., John Tymash, age 77 of Florence died Saturday in Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. Mr. Tymash was born in Roebling and was the son of the late Michael and Mary Bozar Tymash. He resided in Florence & Roebling lifelong.
John was a retired steel worker, employed by John A. Roebling & Sons C.F. & I. with 20 years of service. Additionally, Mr. Tymash retired from the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections with 15 years of service. He served his country proudly in the Army. John was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling in the Senior League in Burlington. Some of his most enjoyable times were spent traveling on various bus trips with his wife.
Mr. Tymash was a member of Sts. Francis & Clare Parish Holy Assumption Church, past commander of the Ukrainian American Veterans Post 25, past State commander of the Ukrainian American Veterans, Mercer County Veterans Council, Divine Mercy Holy Name Society of St. Stanislaus Church, BPOE 2085, Ewing Senior Citizens Club "D" & the Roebling Historical Society.
Predeceased by his brothers, Michael Tymash & George Romansky, sisters, Ann Deal & Frances Lyczak, in- laws, Bill Deal, Barney Lyczak, Leo Nebbia, & Ann Romansky.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Pasierb Tymash, his sons, Scott & Todd Tymash,
Sisters & brother-in-law, Helen Nebbia & Sonya & James Baranyi, brother & sister-in-law, Joseph & Janet Tymash & several nieces & nephews.
Funeral will be Wednesday 10:00 AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11:00 AM at Sts. Francis & Clare Parish Holy Assumption Worship Site, Roebling with Rev. Adam Midor officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
Christian Wake Service will be 5:30 PM & Elks Ritual Service 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling.
The family requests memorial donations be sent to The Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
